COMING SOON! Don’t have a label printer? Or simply don’t need visitor labels? Set up your VisitorBook app to skip the printer and go straight to signing in visitors!
By default, your VisitorBook app is set up to link with a label printer. As part of the usual setup, you add your sign-in terminal to your VisitorBook system and then link it to a label printer. However, if you don’t want to do this, you can set up sign in to skip the printer altogether.
Skip the printer #
- Log into your VisitorBook Admin Portal.
- Go to System Settings > Terminals. This page shows you all the sign-in terminals added to the VisitorBook system.
- Find the specific terminal you are after. Look at the Printer column.
- Choose No Printer from the dropdown.
- Go to the VisitorBook app. Close and reopen the app to update the settings.
Tip: Why can’t you just leave the printer field blank? Your VisitorBook system may still look for a printer if the field is just blank. You’ll still be able to sign visitors in but the VisitorBook app may show an error message that a printer isn’t connected. Setting the printer field to No Printer stops the error message.
Important: You must close and reopen the app to update the settings.
