The devices you use to sign people in and out are identified as terminals in VisitorBook. Once terminals have been synced to your Admin Portal, you can view them on the Terminals page.
To navigate to the Terminals page:
- Log in to your VisitorBook Admin Portal.
- Go to System Settings > Terminals. The system opens the System Settings > Terminals page.
Important: If you have an optional additional location licence, the Terminals page shows all terminals across all locations.
The Current Terminals section of the page shows the following information:
- Terminal Name
- Version – The app version being used with that terminal.
- Date Linked – The date the terminal was synced to the VisitorBook system.
- Terminal Type – Whether the terminal has been set up as a visitor or staff terminal. Visitor terminals are for signing in and out only. Staff terminals can access additional staff actions.
- Printer – The label printer to which the terminal is linked.
- Location – Where the terminal is located. If you have multiple location functionality, you will be able to assign terminals to different locations.
Important:
- Printers must be synced to VisitorBook to link a printer to a terminal.
- Terminals and printers must share the same IP address.
Tip: Add a terminal name that clearly identifies the location and device type.
